01-10-2024: Yesterday we found out that the ditches with clear water were full of pike. Many ditches have a muddy color in which we have not been able to catch a pike. On google Maps we found a beautiful ditch with clear water. And here too there were several perch and pike. In the end we managed to catch 2 pike and 5 perch, but this could have been a lot more because we lost quite a few of them.
02-10-2024: I like to fish in a new place every time. Partly this is to challenge myself to fish in a different way every time, but also because I like to discover new places and meet people. That's why we drove to Bad Nieuwschans today. A city near the German border where I had never been before. Now we already knew that it would not be easy to catch a fish in the canal, but the hope was that we would be able to catch some zander. In the end, I think we should just be happy that we managed to catch a nice perch.
12-11-2024: Today i went back to the chaos of the city of Rotterdam. Despite three bites, I only managed to catch 1 pike. I never cease to be amazed at how many pike swim in the small ditches. And despite all the noise and dog poop, the reactions of passers-by continue to please me the most.
16-11-2024: A beautiful Saturday afternoon. Almost no wind and occasional sun. Of course I was happy with the pike I managed to catch, but especially the perch gave me a lot of pleasure.
30-11-2024: Had a great day with 1 of my colleagues. After a few hours of fishing without a bite, the pike suddenly went wild. In the end we were able to catch 3 pike.
