07-07-2023: The past few weeks I have been busy with the purchase of my new home and the sale of my old home. Unfortunately, so little time to fish. But today I went fishing for an hour with the fly fishing rod.
15-07-2023 till 27-07-2023: The past week and a half we went fishing in the Meuse in northern France. Actually, the intention was to catch some barbels. Unfortunately, the French fishermen told us that they did not swim on the part where we were fishing. They mainly fished for catfish, but unfortunately I didn't have that stuff with me. With the help of a number of French fishermen it was possible to catch a number of chub, 2 of which were beautiful specimens.

The cottage we had rented stood directly at the Maas. So if you want to go fishing for catfish or carp at night, this is highly recommended.
On the advice of the French fishermen, we started fishing with grain in order to catch the larger chub.
25-07-2023: On July 25th we went fishing for pike in the lake lac des vieilles-forges. You can also fish in this lake with the cartedepeche. The total walk was 12 kilometers. Personally, I would only use the side of the parking lots for fishing. The other side is very shallow and except for a few perch we have not had a bite there. Fortunately, we managed to catch two small pike on the deeper parts.
