03-04-2021: A nice weekend away and of course fishing! Now that it is forbidden to fish for predatory fish and it is actually still too cold for carp, we went fishing for sturgeon in the beautiful village of Someren. Finally caught 6 sturgeons of which 3 beautiful big ones.
04-04-2021: Today we also went fishing in the ponds of the Landgoedvisserij Someren. This time not in the sturgeon pond but in the carp pond. First we put our lines on the other side of the pond like a real carp angler. Unfortunately we didn't get a bite. Suddenly I saw a group of carp swimming under our side and we managed to catch two nice carp.
05-04-2021:Today my oldest son and I have asked ourselves several times, "why did we go fishing !?" It was a cold north wind with hail and snow and the occasional little bit of sun. The other fishermen were probably warm by the stove because we had the whole pond to ourselves. Within 5 minutes my son caught a nice carp. And the sturgeons, after three hours we had caught 18 of them. Okay, not the big ones like last Friday, but we had a good time despite the cold ......
23-04-2021 till 26-04-2021: Due to the north-east wind it is cold in the Netherlands. Too cold for carp and other fish in our rivers and canals. In order to catch some fish, we went fishing for 4 days in the carp , sturgeon and trout ponds of Trout World in Luttelgeest.
23-04-2021: On Friday I went fishing for carp in the carp pond. Despite the cold wind, 3 nice carp came ashore and a big bream. Unfortunately the big carp did not want to bite, although I have seen several beautiful ones swimming.
24-04-2021: On Saturday I went fishing in the sturgeon pond with my two sons and a neighbor. The kids had a great time again because within 3 hours they managed to catch 28 sturgeons and a nice carp.
Troutwereld is also known for being able to fish for trout, sturgeon, carp and catfish in a greenhouse. Unfortunately, this is now prohibited in the Netherlands due to the corona measures, but the owner allowed us to take a look inside.
25-04-2020: On Sunday it was very cold due to the strong easterly wind. Together with my oldest son we went fishing in the large trout pond. Trout up to a kilo swim in it. After an hour I managed to catch a small trout after which it was quiet again. Then my son went loose and caught 5 small trout in quick succession. After this I got hit on my rod and the first big trout came into the net followed by another big one for my son. It was a very cold but fun morning.

26-04-2020: Fortunately, the weather was a bit better on Monday and my youngest son and his friend went fishing again, this time in the small trout pond. Unfortunately it remained very quiet this morning. Even my oldest son who usually manages to catch some trout only managed to catch one, as did my youngest son and his friend. It didn't work for me either, eventually I managed to catch two.
