06-02-2020: It remains a fantastic fishing water around the village of Bergambacht. And as long as everyone returns his caught fish, we can enjoy it for years to come. Eventually I caught 1 pike today, but with the great weather it was already a successful day.
07-02-2020: Today was the last beautiful day for the next two weeks. Tomorrow they predict rain and Sunday and Monday wind force 7 with gusts of 140 kilometers per hour. So today I went on a pike hunt together with my wife. From a boat that we had rented at restaurant Vlietzicht, my wife managed to catch a nice pike.
19-02-2020: When water smells of pike, there is also pike! When I drove my car along this water I already knew that pike must lie there. I caught these two pike within 30 minutes.
21-02-2020 till 28-02-2020: It is always a surprise what the weather does in February. In February 2018 I could only fish for 1 day because there was ice on the ditches. In February 2019 we had a wonderful week with lots of sun and temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees. And what happened in February 2020 ...... rain, rain, rain and a very strong wind. Now, rain and wind aren't that bad, but when there is a lot of rain, the water pumping stations in the Netherlands turn on and the water turns brown certainly in the winter months. No good circumstances for pike fishing. Fortunately we were able to fish at the holiday park itself and still managed to catch 4 pike.
