04-04-2018: Finally the summer is coming. From Friday they predict temperatures around 20 degrees. No trout weather conditions so I drove to Meerkerk today to fish in the trout ponds of Zederik. In total, I managed to catch 6 trout.
11-04-2018: I quickly catch some roaches with my eldest son after school. A typical water in a new neighborhood in the Netherlands.
13-04-2018/14-04-2018: Tonight we went night fishing between the Delfgauw greenhouses. The shallow water is heated up quickly every year and there is a large population of carp swimming there. These places are great to quickly catch the first carp in the new year. Okay they are not comparable to the carp in France but we build it up in 2018. To pass the time my youngest son had taken a candy with half of which had a bad taste and I mean really dirty. So it was again a great fishing session with a lot of fun.
18-04-2018: An hour and a half fishing in one of the ponds next to the airport of Rotterdam yielded 11 gibel carps which was actually disappointing considering all the carp we saw swimming. Especially when they went to mow the grass along the sides of the ditch, dozens of (gibel) carp were seen.
