03-11-2020: Today my wife and I are going predatory fishing in the Hilversum Canal and the ditches around the lake. Unfortunately, the wind was too strong to go fishing on the lake itself, but in the ditches around the lake we found some beautiful places where there was hardly any wind. From 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM we didn't get a bite, but when the first rain came at 4:00 PM, my wife managed to catch a small pike and 5 minutes later a nice bass.

22-11-2020: Today I went pike fishing in the polders of Haastdrecht. Actually I couldn't have come up with a better pike weather. There was a north-westerly wind, overcast with a little bit of sun now and then and no rain. In the end I managed to catch two pike and 1 managed to escape. It was another nice fishing day;)
23-11-2020 till 27-11-2020: Before I start next Monday at my new employer, I went fishing for a week in Friesland. In this week I visited two trout fishing ponds, fished for pike with a dead sardine for three days and walked around another day to see if I could catch a pike in one of the many polder waters in Friesland.
23-11-2020: Before I drove to the holiday home on Monday, I first went fishing in trout pond forel-for-all. A nice pond where I eventually managed to catch two small trout and a nice salmontrout.

24-11-2020: Tuesday morning I walked from the holiday home in Jannum to Lichtaard. From Lichtaard to the beautiful village of Raard and from there back to the canal Dokkumer Ee. After this i walked over the bridge to Sibrandahus. It was cold and the pike wouldn't bite. Fortunately I managed to catch a pike after about 15 km walking.
24-11-2020: Tuesday afternoon my wife came by for two days. In the afternoon we went fishing with dead sardines in front of the holiday home. Normally I don't have much faith in dead bait fishing, often boredom strikes me quickly. It was therefore a surprise when the first pike managed to find the bait within an hour.
25-11-2020: Wednesday morning we found out that it made little sense to leave the rods at night. I hate lobsters!
Quickly tied new sardines to the lines and after two hours it was again hit;)
And when we came back from the zoo again a pike managed to find the sardine within two hours.
26-11-2020: Because my wife had to drive home again at 11:00, we decided to stay in the house on Thursday. The weather was completely different from previous days. The wind was almost silent and the sun was shining. Fish came up everywhere but the pike could not be caught in the morning. It was around 3:00 PM when pike number 5 of this holiday was caught.
27-11-2020: Before I had to drive home I first went fishing in the trout pond Pingo. In retrospect, I was surprised that I could find it so easily. The tomtom sent me in all directions except the good one. Eventually I started driving on my feeling and to my surprise I suddenly saw a sign of the trout pond on the side of the road.
Trout pond pingo is a pond that you do not often encounter in the Netherlands. You can just fish here and the owner will come by to collect the money when it suits him. Then you can also fish for another 5 hours for 20 euros in a pond that is full of trout. I finally managed to catch 1 gold trout, 1 salmon trout and 5 regular trouts after 3 hours. This trout pond is a pearl for Dutch standards.
