Iceland we are coming!
01-04-2019: Today I happened to see a news item on the internet that the icelandic airline wow air has gone bankrupt and that the Dutch airline Transavia will take over these flights with a number of offers from July. I quickly went to the Transavia site and to my surprise I saw the price of 150 euros for a return ticket. I quickly called transvia and my wife on her cell phone a hotel and a rental car. Within an hour we arranged the trip (Flight, hotel and rental car) for 5 people with a total price of 2500 euros. Keep following the site to hopefully see the fish photos in a few months.
12-04-2019:
The past few weeks have been dominated by work. We have tried twice to catch a carp, but both times the carp were too clever for us. The coming days it will be a lot colder so a good time to do maintenance on the fishing gear. In a few days the first major trip will be abroad, so April should eventually be a good month. I hope to be able to fish for carp again next week, but definitely look back on the site at the beginning of May.
19-04-2019 till see may: We enjoyed the French hospitality for two and a half weeks but it was hard to catch a fish this time. In the end we managed to catch 5 carp and 4 sturgeons and given the catches of other fishermen this was not even that bad. Domaine de la Vallee is a great water if you like a challenge and don't expect dozens of carp in a week.

As mentioned, it was working to catch a carp this vacation. In the end we caught a carp and four grass carp.
There are several walks in the surroundings of la vallee. In Valdieu a sign with the walks is indicated, enough to keep you entertained for a week and to keep the lady of the house happy too.
In addition to carp and sturgeons, we also managed to catch other fish in the meantime.
