03-06-2018: Today we had an appointment in Houten so we decided first to go fishing at Nieuwegein in the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal. This spot is a hotspot for pike perch on the internet. However, last year we have already fished here with 10 people and eventually caught only 1 perch. Even today we managed to catch 1 perch and the anglers we spoke to said that there was no more pike perch for years. Sometimes you wonder where stories on the internet come from .....
08-06-2018: Rotterdam, the city of Feyenoord, the port, Unilever and of course the pike perch. Unfortunately, it will not succeed to catch a zander. Today we fished at low tide in the evening. Several fishermen were fishing but we did not see any caught a pike perch. Fortunately, my eldest son managed to catch two perch and a bream.
20-06-2018: After eating we had grab a fly fishing rod and go fishing for an hour. Eventually we caught 9 roach.
22-06-2018 t/m 24-06-2018: At the last minute we booked a weekend to Raiden's lake the new carp lake of karperhoeve. This lake is known for a runwater and this certainly turned out to be true. In 48 hours we managed to catch 33 fish. 6 giebelcarp, 26 carps and a pike that popped full on a boilie.
