14-02-2023: The pikes weren't in the mood today. But finally after 6 hours of fishing ;)

18-02-2023: I regularly get the question if I want to take someone with me on a day of fishing. In the Netherlands we have arranged that anyone who has a fishing permit can take someone with them for free 3 times a year. So today I went after the pike with an old colleague.

24-02-2023 till 03-03-2023: Finally the children had a week off from school and we could go fishing for a week in the Alde Faenen nature reserve. In almost the entire area you can fish with a but! Check in your permit every ditch where you are going to fish. In some ditch you are only allowed to fish for a certain period of time or only from one side of the water. A great area for fishing but with many rules.

26-02-2023: After two days of fishing without catching a fish, what I already knew was confirmed. This is not going to be an easy week! Fortunately I managed to catch the first pike on Sunday morning.
