08-10-2021 till 11-10-2022: Sometimes you have to accept that you are fishing at the wrong side of the lake, including this weekend at little carpvalley. On arrival the lake looked promising but it soon became apparent that the carp were in the lily field on the other side of the lake. My fishing buddy who fished against the lily field managed to catch two nice carp. This weekend I must be happy with the sturgeon that I finally managed to catch.

17-10-2021: When we arrived at the Val du Roba trout pond, the owner told us that the pond was last open that day. Because she no longer released new trout, we were allowed to fish here for free ;) It was good searching to find where the trouts were, but in the end we managed to catch 3.

19-10-2021: Trout pond Bra-sur-Lienne is one of the largest in the Ardennes. Not in terms of surface area, but in terms of number of ponds. In front of the owner's house is a medium-sized pond and furthermore about 10 ponds that are nice to rent privately. We eventually went fishing in the second largest pond so that we also had a pond for ourselves. In the end we managed to catch 6 of the 7 released trouts.

22-10-2021: Today happened what every trout fisherman wants to experience once! The trouts went wild! They were interested in everything that fell on the water. We decided to go fishing with only two rods and after catching two trout myself, I gave the rods to my children who eventually caught 14 trout within an hour and a half, bringing the total to 16.  Because the coolbox was already getting pretty full, we decided that after an hour and a half it was enough. I think if we had fished the full 4 hours we could have caught between 40 and 50 trouts. A weird day......
