05-09-2021: Today I went fishing with my eldest son in the river The Lek . More and more we start to enjoy fishing in the major rivers of the Netherlands. It is often not the most fish that we catch, but often the most beautiful. Also today my oldest son managed to catch a nice bass, a small asp and i caught a nice ide ;)
10-09-2021 till 13-09-2021: With 130 carp, 13 catfish and 5 sturgeon on 0,3 hectare of water we had actually expected that we would have an easy weekend fishing , but it turned out differently. Saturday evening at 21:00, we had not caught a carp yet despite the advice of the owner . After converting a rod to a zig mounting we managed to catch the first 5 carp. On Sunday afternoon I also caught a carp with a piece of floating bread and when I replaced the corn on another rod for a pellet i caught 4 carp. With the catch of 10 carp in a weekend it is certainly not a record for this pond, but we had a good time again.
Unfortunately my fish friend went home on Sunday afternoon so the following pictures are of lower quality.
18-09-2021: The Oosterschelde is an old sea inlet that was closed decades ago off from the sea by a dam . Safe for us Dutch, but bad for sea fish in the Oosterschelde. I have fished here three times before with disappointing catches. But today we managed to catch 38 pouting ,thanks to my two sons.
