13-01-2018: Today we were pike-fishing in the polder of Maasland. After my eldest son lost a pike my youngest son caught the first pike of 2018. Okay he should be a meter longer but with good weather and a lot of fun we still had a very nice day.
20-01-2018: For a few weeks it has rained almost exclusively with the highlight last Thursday's storm. Almost everywhere the water has become cloudy, so today it was searching for a water that did not flow and was clear. In the end, a water near my home proved to be sufficient and a pike quickly picked up my bait. It is hoped that coming pike will be a lot bigger.
22-01-2018: Finally the pike is bigger. On the spot where I managed to catch a pike two years ago it was also hit today. I am almost certain that it is the same pike.
26-01-2018: Pike fishing just before I had to get my children out of school. This pike grabbed the bait in the center of Delfgauw. About 25 years ago I managed to catch 6 pike in the same spot in an hour. The good old days....
30-01-2018: Today I did not go fishing for pike but made an attempt to catch a trout. The last few times I've been fishing for trout was a big disappointment. Even today it did not go great but in the end I managed to catch a trout in the last 15 minutes.
