13-03-2018: Today my sons had a day off from school so we decided to go for sturgeon and carp fishing at a pond in werkendam. Despite the rain and the inclement weather we managed to catch 19 sturgeons and 3 carp. Honestly my youngest son caught 3 carps and 8 sturgeons. My eldest son, 8 sturgeons including a few nice diamond sturgeons.
16-03-2018 till 18-03-2018: In recent years we were always lucky to have good weather during our holidays but now 2018 a few months further is, this happiness seems far to seek. Three weeks ago we booked a weekend trip to holiday park Weerterbergen in Weert. This with the idea of fishing on carp in the recreational lake at the holiday park. But this weekend the temperature just comes below the freezing point in the night and a few degrees above zero at daytime. In retrospect, i did must take a pikerod with me because i did not had a bite from the carp and other fishermen also caught nothing.
21-03-2018: Today my eldest son had his birthday party. After the good catches of last week, he wanted to fish with his friends again in one of the carp ponds in Werkendam. See 13-03-2018. In total, the gentlemen managed to catch 20 sturgeons, 1 carp and a catfish.
