Also in the Netherlands the prices are not nice anymore. That's why we decided to rent a log cabin this weekend.
08-09-2023 till 12-09-2023: Every year I go fishing for a weekend with a number of former colleagues. The intention was to go fishing for pike and other predatory fish in the polders and rivers, but due to the temperatures above 30 degrees, this was not responsible. That's why we started fishing for asp, perch and walleye with smaller lures. But despite this, we still managed to catch a small pike.
These days we fished in different ways in the Amsterdam Rijn Canal, (red). And the polders around maurik, (Blue) The cabin is indicated with green.
08-09-2012: Friday evening we first went fishing for 2 hours in the polders of Maurik, and we could not have wished for a better start. First we managed to catch 2 beautiful perch and then 2 small predatory bleeps.
09-09-2023: In the morning we first went fishing with spinners in the river. Unfortunately, it was quiet. Just when we wanted to give up, a nice roofblei popped on my bait.
In the evening we drove back to the canal. Unfortunately, there were now other fishermen in the well-known places so we lost a lot of time looking for a beautiful place. In the end we managed to find it under one of the many bridges. After several bites, I managed to catch a small walleye.
10-09-2023: Sunday morning we drove to the canal again. Unfortunately, the big fish did not want to bite. But we still managed to catch 4 perch.
Also in the evening we unfortunately only managed to catch a few fish, including a small asp.
11-09-2023: Monday morning was too hot to fish. That is why we only went fishing in the polders late in the evening. A small pike finally managed to find my bait. A nice end from a nice weekend.
24-09-2023: Sometimes it's just nice to catch a few bream with the feeder rod.
