06-08-2019 till 10-08-2019: With four days it was a short visit to our eastern neighbors. After getting the necessary documents, we could start fishing on Tuesday evening. The hennesee is known for its size Perch, we managed to catch 16 which some above 35 cm. We also hooked 5 pike but all pike managed to escape ......

The last day we went fishing next to the dam at the town of Meschede in the hope that we could catch one of the set out sea trout. We have seen a few jumping, but that is it.
18-08-2019: And again it was not possible to catch a pike-perch in Rotterdam. Six perch found our bait, including one of 35 cm.
22-08-2019: Okay, actually the intention was to show as many fishing methods as possible on my site. Today we were bored so we decided at the last minute to drive to the fish pond in Utrecht. See 01-09-2018. The kids caught a total of 8 sturgeons and a catfish. Especially for children it is a nice first introduction to fishing but when my daughter hooked the catfish we had to help quickly.
25-08-2019: The summer is back with temperatures above 30 degrees. The roads to the beach were full of traffic jams so we went fishing between the ports of Rotterdam. In total we managed to catch two sea bass.
After an hour of fishing we saw no fish swimming anymore and when the culprit of this (a seal) came up we stopped fishing and started barbecuing.
30-08-2019 till see September: In recent years (also before I started the web-site) we have visited quite a few private lakes in the Netherlands and abroad, but what a respect I have for Jelle, the manager of CarpInsula! Last weekend we fished in one of the four lakes of CarpInsula namely kingPool, a lake with catfish but also very beautiful carp. Unfortunately we had made the mistake of fishing with nylon lines instead of braided lines, so we lost 3 big catfish ....
