12-10-2020 till 25-10-2020: In the Netherlands, the corona figures are rising rapidly with an average of 9,000 registered infections per 17 million inhabitants per day. It is therefore not unnecessary to look for risks, but we should be able to spend two weeks on holiday in a bungalow park. For a nice price we could rent the bungalow and from there we plan several fishing trips.
12-10-2020: Before I drove to the bungalow park I first went fishing at the trout pond Smallert. A very nice fishing pond with nice staff and nice trout. It was not an easy day and I caught the last three of the four trout in the last 20 minutes. It seemed as if the trout only started feeding when the mosquitoes got on the water.
For 550 euro we rent this 6-person bungalow at bungalowparc Molencaten flevostrand for 2 weeks. For the children there was an indoor playground and an indoor pool and the surrounding nature invites for many walks.
13-102020: On Tuesday the plan was to catch a few pike in the Veluwemeer. Unfortunately I had misjudged the many water plants that stood along the side, making fishing almost impossible. Because the weather was very nice, I quietly walked from the campsite to Harderwijk and back. Eventually managed to catch two pike. The advantage of the many water plants is that a lot of beautiful animals are flying around, especially for bird lovers.

On the way back I managed to catch a small pike at the pumping station between the Veluwenmeer and the lagevaart.
14-10-2020: On Wednesday I drove to trout pond H2O to refill the freezer. With the first trout my line broke so the day started well ....... But luckily I managed to catch 4 trout. The owner is a nice man who also fishes all over Europe, especially Slovenia. Always nice to exchange a bit of experience.
On some days we did not go fishing but went for a walk in the wonderful nature around Biddinghuizen
19-10-2020: On monday 21 October we went back to fishing park Smallert. Often not to go trout fishing but to fish for carp and sturgeon. This time my two sons also joined and I was their assistant this day. As soon my youngest son managed to catch two sturgeons after which he was actually done with it. My oldest son decided after his first sturgeon to try to catch a carp, which of course succeeded. After this he ended the fishing with another sturgeon.
21-10-2020: Sometimes everything seems to go wrong. When I registered at trout pond De Haere I booked the wrong trout pond. There my oldest son and I were standing with our 18 hundredth line on a pond with 1.5 to 5 kilos of trout and of course my line got tangled on the first cast. Fortunately my eldest son managed to catch a trout weighing one and a half kilos after an hour, his day was good anyway .... I decided to walk around the pond and suddenly saw a nice trout between the reeds. Quickly lowered my bait in front of his mouth and several times he bit and spat out the bait again. After a few minutes I couldn't see the bait anymore and decided to hit it. All hell broke loose! To my own surprise I managed to catch this monster and my day was immediately good. In the end I also managed to catch a 1.5 kilo trout but that was now a small one compared to the monster we already had;)

23-10-2020: Friday was finally a beautiful day with a fair amount of sun and perhaps more importantly almost no wind. Normally my youngest son is not very motivated to go fishing, but when daddy rents a cool boat, his point of view often changes quickly. He also managed to catch a nice pike which unfortunately was a bit too wild for him to hold himself.
