01-12-2019: During the first weekend of December, angling sport fair Utrecht always takes place. A great time to buy new things and to inquire about the trips for next year.
06-12-2019 till 08-12-2019: Last weekend we rented a house at RCN Zeewolde, a great place from were we fished two trout ponds, but the port of RCN Zeewolde also offered many possibilities.
06-12-2019: On Friday I drove to Toms Creek trout pond in Lelystad. It was typically Dutch autumn weather with a lot of rain and a lot of wind. After the first trout was lost, two beautiful one-kilo trouts were caught. After this it was quiet for an hour until my floater ran off again. The surprise was great when suddenly an arctic char surfaced.
07-12-2019: On Saturday I went trout fishing with my two sons at trout pond the Berenkuil in Putten. The trouts didn't really want to bite today. Two trouts appreciated the bait, but the other four only bite after 20 throw-in just before their mouth.
08-12-2019: Today was all about pike! And what a wonderful day I had. I have not measured both caught pike, but one of the two was far above the meter.
31-12-2019: And again a year passed by too quickly. 2019 was a year with a number of great fishing trips, France, Iceland, Ireland and Croatia, but also several short trips in the Netherlands and our neighboring countries. 2019 was also a year dedicated to work. Actually, the plan was to work less from 2018, but currently the jobs are up for grabs in the Netherlands and with the extra money earned, the first trips for 2020 have now been booked.

Several times I have mentioned on the site that the main reason for starting the site is to motivate myself to go fishing more. The beginning of the year still started well and this was evident in the visitor numbers of sometimes more than 100 per day. From mid-July I am actually working too much again and fishing too less so I have put less on the site. This is immediately apparent from the number of visitors that now stands at around 20 a day. But it is nice that contacts have been made with other fishermen around the world.
