01-12-2018: Wow, what a day. Even before our trout were put-in in the pond we caught already 6 of them. Also the twelve trouts that were put-in the pond were captured within an hour . Hereinafter it was half an hour remained silent.Eventually we knew after an hour to catch two trout that brought the total to 20.

03-12-2018: No, the Netherlands is not sinking! Today I managed to catch two pike close to Hazerswoude-dorp but now I was alone I had some problems with placing the camera. Except for the two captured pikes one managed to escape.

04-12-2018: No, they are not mega pike but we are doing great because even today we managed to catch one again.

05-12-2018: And that's number four of this week! :).

08-12-2018: Today i drove to Boskoop to a water I had seen on Google Earth. Upon arrival, the water turned out to be much shallower than expected. Eventually i caught a small pike.

08-12-2018: My eldest son went pike fishing with a few friends and he also managed to catch a small pike today.

09-12-2018: Maybe the big pike is on vacation because again it was only possible to catch a small pike. I did had a follower who swam several times behind my bait but refused to take it.

10-12-2018: Today I almost had a heart attack. I went pike fishing in a canal near the small village of De Zweth. The footpath along the canal stops after about two kilometer and you have to walk back the same way. Of course, the whole channel was fished out, but nothing was observed. On the way back i walked with the idea that I would not catch anything today. When I almost reached my car I turnet the spinner for the last time in. When my spinner was almost out of the water, this pike hit full the bait.

13-12-2018: And again it succeeded to catch a pike. This one was a lot thicker than the previously caught pike.

27-12-2018: Today i was Pike fishing in Berkenwoude. I was not the only one with this idea because several pike anglers were fishing. Eventually, i  caught one pike.

31-12-2018: It is the end of 2018 and what a fantastic year it has been. The big highlight this year was the large amount of catfish that we managed to catch in France. During our holiday in May, we managed to catch 23 in two weeks, where we even had double runs. Also the pike that we caught on dead bait in February and the carp that was seduced by my bait the last morning while fishing at the plashuis will be moments not to be forgotten. Of course there were also disappointments. Pike-perch was the big absentee in 2018. Despite several sessions on waters that we know they swim around it was not possible to catch them.

The reason I started my site is to motivate myself to go fishing more. I noticed myself that now that I work part-time i sit more and more for the television and started fishing less. Now the motivation is to grab a fishing rod so that I can place something on the site again. I regularly receive an e-mail asking if I can explain a little more about the fishing technique special the catfish fishery. Of course I will go into this by the mail, but on the internet others have described these techniques much better than I will ever do!

At the moment almost 4000 different people have visited my web-site with an average of 13 pages per visit. In December, the site was viewed  almost 1800 times.
Most visitors come from the Netherlands, especially the region the hague. But dozens of fishermen from England and America are now following the site. This is also the reason why I try to write the site in English. Sharing our hobby fishing with fishermen around the world is just awesome!
